Ninja Forms Turns Ten

Ninja Forms, launched in 2011 by co-creator James Laws, has turned ten years old today. The company is celebrating by providing 10 days worth of discounts and specials beginning June 28th through July 9th.

I suppose the Ninja Forms team can now enthusiastically answer Yes to the question, is there room in the WordPress ecosystem for another forms plugin? Back when Ninja Forms launched in 2011, Contact Form 7 was well established as the original WordPress contact forms solution until Gravity Forms came along and revolutionized form building. Both Gravity Forms and Ninja Forms proved there was a lot more you could do with forms than just providing a way for people to contact you.

I’ve met the Ninja Forms crew a few times over the years at various WordCamps and I can tell you that they’re good people. I’m also jealous that most of their core team lives in Tennessee, a state that my wife, smoky, and I hope to call home someday.

But I wonder, ten years later, is there room in the WordPress ecosystem for a new forms solution? Also, feel free to let us know how you’ve utilized Ninja Forms over the years.
