I’m a bit late to this news but Convesio, the hosting company that graciously hosts WP Mainline has raised $5M in funding. The company plans on using the funds to accelerate the development of its platform, hire more staff, and increase marketing efforts. Convesio is a relatively new managed WordPress hosting company as it initially launched in 2019 after a successful crowdfunding campaign.
The investment also means that WP Mainline will be sticking around for a bit longer. Other than the issues I experienced last year with invalid JSON responses in the post editor which were eventually fixed, Convesio has been a rock-solid host. Granted, this site isn’t getting thousands of page views every second of the day. However, I’ve learned that if a host can’t handle a small site like this one, you absolutely wouldn’t want to put a larger site that contributes to your livelihood on it.
