Howdy! I’m Randy and I live in a suburb on the border of Detroit. I’ve been using WordPress since back when the file names started with b2 😉 I’ve written themes and plugins, and I’ve been an organizer of WordCamp Detroit for since 2018.
During the day, I’m an elearning developer and by night, I’m a podcast engineer.
I love craft cocktails.

Another old guard. Awesome! I am working with 1 Million Teachers on their LifterLMS platform which is my first time taking on a large scale LMS, so when you mean elearning developer, do you mean that you develop elearning tools or elearning content as I’ve heard the title used for both.
And when you say podcast engineer, do you do audio editing on other people’s podcasts, and do you record your own as well?
I haven’t been to WC Detroit in more than a decade. I should really come back again sometime, living in Ontario, it isn’t too crazy a distance to travel and the US WordCamps are always better than the Canadian ones… no offense intended to Canadian WordCamps, but they are…March 13, 2020 at 11:22 pm #3636RandyWalkerParticipant
I do the content side of elearning. As for podcasting, I work with a few local podcasts and a local studio and handle equipment and recording, mostly. I do some editing.
WordCamp Detroit took a few years off. 2018 was the first since 2012 I believe. I wasn’t aware of the local WP community back then.
