I am a Graphic and Web Designer from Ireland. Originally from Slovakia, I moved to Ireland about 15 years ago. Almost 5 years back I decided to be doing something I really enjoy and started studying Graphic and Web Design at a higher age then it’s usual:). I work with WP for four years now and I love it. I happened to be a part of WordCamp Dublin 2019 organizing team and I found this community of amazing and helpful people around the Open Source project. Happy to be here and watch this community thrive. And of course, get to know more like-minded people.March 10, 2020 at 6:42 pm #3361mperaltyParticipant
Do you freelance or are you working for a company or agency? What was the biggest change when you moved from Slovakia to Ireland?March 10, 2020 at 8:45 pm #3366
I freelance. My plan was to work for some companie as a Graphic or Web Designer, but it turned out to be more difficult then I thought. I mean the part to get a job like that in my part of Ireland (Kerry) as a foreigner and without work experience in the field. So I decided to try freelancing so I at least have a chance to practise and keep learning. And somehow I am still at it 🙂 The biggest change was the weather. And of course the language but you kind of get used to it.March 12, 2020 at 11:12 pm #3476JeffroKeymaster
Hey Look! It’s the guy who designed the WP Mainline logo! Welcome, aboard and thanks again for the design.

Here in the US, there is an Irish Butter you can buy called Kerrygold. You made me think of it when you put Ireland and Kerry together lol.March 12, 2020 at 11:16 pm #3491
